in the Dark", Interior art, Challenges Game
Magazine, Acrylic, 1988
Once again I will say, I learned quite alot about what I
like about painting
from the black and white assignments I was getting. Removing the color
problem from the process was helping me to relax. I began to understand
how beautiful the strokes and textures were. And I realized that those things
were personal to me. Like a signature. I have always worked for drawing
to be as effortless as handwritting. But it took so long for the same feeling
to
come to me when I painted. I'm saying that it became FUN.
